below the surface
The Beginning
When I was a kid, I used to draw underwater houses.
The kind you could enter through a hole in the floor.
I don't really know why but the world and exploration below the surface always pulled me in.
At eleven, I put on a tank for the first time and went underwater.
I was hooked.
Today
CCR, cave & technical diver.
I've dived in quarries in the Czech Republic, in caves in France and Hungary, done countless dives in Egypt, Austrian lakes, and plenty of “small” jobs under yachts in Croatia which often meant cutting tangled ropes out of propellers.
Being underwater teaches you very quickly:
Dive gear and software has to work for you. Not the other way around.
Experiences with them has to be intuitive.
No chaos. No guessing.
Decosoft
Decosoft was born out of this.
It started as a tool I needed for myself.
Because I didn't want to think about how to use an app -
I wanted to think about the dive and the mission at hand.
I use it on my own dives.
And every mistake, every delay, every unclear interaction…
shows up immediately.
Safety is the #1 priority and it will always be.
